In the Netherlands, Chestoption was fined 3.08 million euros

The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) has imposed a fine on the operator Chestoption for the illegal promotion of online gambling to the country's residents. As noted by the regulator, the company did not possess a Dutch license, yet it actively advertised its projects to the local audience.

KSA indicated that Chestoption used the site Vave.com for promotion. The site lacks tools to block players from the Netherlands and does not implement age verification or other necessary restrictions. Additionally, visitors to the platform have access to auto-play and turbo-play features, as well as cryptocurrency transactions and other options that the regulator considers harmful.

The fine was issued amid increased oversight in the Netherlands: previously, KSA publicly served a notice to Betnation and fined TOTO Online for advertising violations. Meanwhile, the Dutch authorities are preparing regulatory reforms that include a total ban on the promotion of online gambling and stricter payment limits.
