TIGA names nine experienced industry professionals to its board of directors

TIGA, the trade association for the UK video games industry, has incorporated nine new members into its board of directors.

The inclusion of these figures aims to bolster TIGA's capacity to advocate and support gaming companies throughout the United Kingdom, according to a statement by the organization.

Among the newly appointed board members are experienced professionals such as:

  • Gemma Brown, co-CEO of Dovetail Games
  • Ben Gunstone, CEO at Stainless Games
  • Dan Hett, studio designer director at d3t
  • Greg Howson, director of communications at Supermassive Games
  • Marco A. Minoli, director of publishing for Slitherine
  • Stuart Muckley, CEO of Code Wizards
  • Tim Repa-Davies, EVP, general counsel and head of business affairs at Sumo Digital
  • Sitara Shefta, co-founder and CEO of Pretty Cool Games
  • John Tearle, co-founder and studio director at Flix Interactive

Earlier this year, TIGA named Elaine Green from Nellyvision as its chair, succeeding Jason Kingsley from Rebellion.

Richard Wilson, OBE, TIGA's CEO, expressed excitement over the appointments, highlighting that these individuals' wide-ranging expertise and experience are vital for enhancing TIGA's representation and advocacy efforts for games studios, publishers, and related entities across the nation.

Emphasizing the UK gaming industry's success in spurring economic growth, generating skilled jobs, and developing world-class intellectual properties, Wilson noted the importance of giving a strong voice to companies of all sizes. The new board reflects the industry's diversity, talent, and ambition, positioning TIGA to continue advancing policies and initiatives beneficial to the sector's development.
