DON’T NOD is facing difficulties. It might go bankrupt by the end of the year

Recently, the French company DON’T NOD faced an audit. According to the auditor's report, its financial situation leaves much to be desired.

In the document, the auditors indicated that as of April 2026, DON’T NOD had approximately 8.8 million euros in cash, but these reserves are rapidly depleting. Preliminary estimates suggest that if nothing urgent is done, the company will run out of funds by November. This would effectively mean bankruptcy.

DON’T NOD has been trying for several months to find additional sources of funding in hopes of saving the business but without success. A major blow came with the refusal of Tencent, DON’T NOD's largest shareholder, to increase its stake in the company. The Chinese giant also refused to invest in the development of upcoming games. Other potential investors approached by DON’T NOD's management have also stayed away and have not offered any help.

DON’T NOD hopes to raise funds somehow. For instance, the management does not rule out releasing the game with the codename P14 earlier and reducing its development costs, as well as increasing efforts to find outsourcing projects. However, the auditor believes this will not be enough. A detailed rescue plan for DON’T NOD will be discussed at a shareholders' meeting on June 17.

Let's recall that DON’T NOD has been going through tough times for more than two years. Amid a series of unsuccessful releases, it has reduced staff several times, and its stock has plummeted by 88% since January 2024.
