"Rubric" acquired the authors of mobile games based on "The Three Cats" and "The Fixies"
The studio "Devgame" is now part of the Russian company "Rubric," which manufactures construction kits similar to LEGO. The deal was announced by the head of "Rubric," Ainar Abdrakhmanov, in an interview with the newspaper "Vedomosti" during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026.
"Three Cats: Sea Adventure"
Abdrakhmanov did not disclose all the purchase terms. He only mentioned that Devgame's co-founder, Elena Naumova, would take the position of head of Rubric's video game division.
The deal's amount is also unknown. In a comment to "Vedomosti," the head of the Organization for the Development of the Video Game Industry, Vasily Ovchinnikov, suggested that a realistic range is 35-55 million rubles. However, he did not rule out that the amount could reach up to 70 million rubles. According to the specialist, Devgame's portfolio includes valuable licensing agreements with owners of popular children's franchises, which can increase the studio's value.
Devgame is a mobile studio specializing in children's games based on popular intellectual properties. For example, they have released titles based on "Three Cats," "Fixiki," "Malyshariki," and "Blue Tractor." According to the team's official website, the games' downloads exceed 180 million.
As noted by "Vedomosti" in the "Spark-Interfax" database, Devgame's revenue last year amounted to 17.2 million rubles. Whether the studio made a profit or operated at a loss is unknown.
