The UK trade association TIGA has named Elaine Green as its new chairperson. With over two decades in the game development and publishing sector, Green brings a wealth of expertise to the role.

She leads Nellyvision, a studio in Brighton that she helped establish in 2010. Green has been a part of the TIGA board for a decade, joining in 2013.

Green takes over from Jason Kingsley, a pivotal figure in TIGA's founding in 2001 and a co-founder of Rebellion, where he also serves as CEO and creative director.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Green stated, "Assuming the chair position at TIGA during these dynamic times is a privilege. I appreciate the trust the board has placed in me and thank Jason for his ongoing dedication to our organization."

She further remarked, "TIGA is essential to advocating for the UK's gaming sector, and my commitment is to support studios of all sizes for their prospering future. I am excited to collaborate with the board, team, and members to reinforce TIGA's robust foundation and nurture a progressive direction for the industry."

Richard Wilson, CEO of TIGA, commented, "It is a pleasure to have Elaine stepping in as chair. Her rich background in game development and publishing, coupled with her comprehension of UK studios' interests, makes her an ideal leader."

He continued, "Under Elaine's leadership, TIGA will advance its mission to bolster the UK's gaming industry—advocating for increased Video Games Expenditure Credit, fostering partnerships with educational institutions, and organizing studio-related events. Her wisdom and enthusiasm will be advantageous."

Additionally, Wilson expressed gratitude to Jason Kingsley for his service since the association's inception.

In the preceding year, TIGA welcomed four individuals to its board: Aaron Donaghey from Hypixel Studios, Connor Crossland of Ubisoft UK, Laura Treanor from Steel City Interactive, and Rebekah Simpson of Playground Games.
