Attendance at BitSummit 2026 reached a record high, rising 17% to 68,208 attendees

This past weekend, BitSummit 2026 achieved a record-breaking attendance, welcoming 68,208 people to Miyako Messe in Kyoto, Japan, marking a 17% increase from previous years.
The event's 14th iteration unfolded across three days. May 22 was designated for business professionals, while the general public attended on May 23 and 24.
The business-focused day exceeded previous public attendance figures, drawing nearly 14,000 industry participants. Public sessions gathered more than 28,600 and 25,600 visitors on each respective day.
By way of comparison, the event drew about 24,000 attendees in 2023, 38,000 in 2024, and 58,000 in 2025. As reported by VGC, attendance has surged by 77% over the last two editions.
The festival showcased 125 exhibitors selected from 548 game submissions, with the BitSummit committee handpicking 125 games for its Official Selections category.
Altogether, the event saw representation from around 500 firms.
BitSummit 2027 is scheduled to take place from May 21 to May 23, 2027, once again at the Miyako Messe in Kyoto.
