The Sunday Times: Over the year, the founders of Playrix became $2 billion richer

The Sunday Times newspaper has compiled its annual list of the wealthiest residents of the United Kingdom. For the second year in a row, brothers Igor and Dmitry Bukhman, founders of Playrix, have secured the 10th place on this list.

The Bukhman brothers' wealth is currently estimated at £14.26 billion or approximately $19.04 billion. Although they were also ranked 10th on The Sunday Times list last year, they owned significantly less wealth back then — their portfolio grew by £1.72 billion ($2.3 billion) over the year.

Here is how the wealth of the Playrix founders has grown over the last four years, according to The Sunday Times:

  • 2023 — £5.83 billion ($7.79 billion);
  • 2024 — £6.35 billion ($8.48 billion);
  • 2025 — £12.54 billion ($16.75 billion);
  • 2026 — £14.26 billion ($19.04 billion).

An interesting point: the Bukhman brothers surpass many renowned gaming companies in wealth. For instance, their current wealth is 2.7 times the market capitalization of CD PROJEKT ($7.13 billion) and nearly 24 times more than the market capitalization of Ubisoft ($798 million).

Other representatives of the gaming industry also made it onto The Sunday Times list of richest Britons, but much lower on the list. Specifically, King founder Riccardo Zacconi landed on the 306th position with £410 million ($548 million), Rockstar Games co-founders Sam and Dan Houser were at the 310th position with £405 million ($541 million), and Tripledot Studios head Lior Shiff ranked 340th with £350 million ($468 million).
