The creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance donated a large sum for the restoration of a castle in the Czech Republic

A month ago, Warhorse Studios announced a charity initiative. They promised to donate part of the proceeds from the sales of the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance during the Steam Medieval Fest to the restoration of the Czech Pernštejn Castle. Warhorse Studios kept their promise.

As stated by Warhorse Studios in the game’s event feed, they put aside one dollar from every sold copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. By the end of the festival, they managed to accumulate $65,300 for the donation. The collected funds have already been transferred to the restoration work.

Warhorse Studios did not randomly decide to participate in the restoration of Pernštejn Castle. The reason being, it is one of the key locations in Kingdom Come: Deliverance and serves as the protagonist's home. In reality, the castle was built in the 13th century and has suffered considerable damage over the years.

"It's incredibly important for us to give back to the region that has contributed so much to our project, our studio, and our players. And even more importantly, that we were able to do this together with you," wrote Warhorse Studios.

As a reminder, the medieval-themed game sale took place on Steam from April 20 to April 27. During this time, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was available at a generous 80% discount.
