Game developer Odd Meter has raised $5 million through a funding round predominantly supported by Gem Capital and Autotelic Ventures. This financial injection aims to assist the company in expanding its operations while maintaining its creative freedom during its next project.

Dmitry Svetlow, CEO of Odd Meter, expressed gratitude for the investment, stating, "This round provides us the capability to expand our team and remain dedicated to our upcoming game development." He further remarked on the backing from Gem Capital and Autotelic Ventures, acknowledging their belief in the studio's vision. Odd Meter was established in Russia in 2017 but relocated the majority of its staff to Almaty, Kazakhstan, amid the conflict in Ukraine during Indika's creation.

Released in 2024, Indika earned accolades as the Game of the Year and Best Narrative at the 2025 Games for Change Awards. Additionally, it garnered nominations at prestigious events such as The Game Awards, BAFTA Game Awards, Golden Joystick Awards, and DICE Awards.

Gem Capital's managing director, Roman Gurskiy, praised Odd Meter for achieving notable acclaim with its uniquely crafted narrative-driven games. He highlighted Indika's impact on audiences and industry professionals alike and expressed optimism about the studio's future potential.

Furthermore, Vladislav Korotkov, CEO of Autotelic Ventures, commented on Odd Meter's capability to execute grand concepts at a high standard. He is confident the studio can produce another globally significant title.
