Battlefield 6 helped EA achieve the highest annual revenue in the company's history

As of March 31, 2026, Electronic Arts (EA) concluded its fiscal year. According to the company's report, the year was significant for the company—at least in terms of net bookings.

  • EA reported that its net bookings reached a record high of $8.02 billion, which is 9% more than the previous year.
  • Although EA's net revenue wasn't the highest in its history, it did see a modest increase, rising by 1% to $7.5 billion.
  • For the year, revenue from EA game sales was $2.15 billion, marking a 7.3% increase. However, revenue from microtransactions slightly declined by 1.4%, down to $5.38 billion.
  • Battlefield 6 outperformed any other game in the series during its debut fiscal year. EA boasted that the shooter set several records, though it did not disclose any new figures. As a reminder, in October, the company stated that Battlefield 6 sold over 7 million copies in its first three days, becoming the fastest-selling entry in the series.
  • Revenue from Apex Legends grew by a double-digit percentage, particularly showing strong results from January to March 2026.
  • EA also reported an increase in income from its football game line. The company noted that revenues for these games grew by a few percent.
  • Despite this, EA could not boost its net profit. It fell by 20.8%, amounting to $887 million.
  • Currently, EA is in the final stages of being sold to the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. According to the company, it still needs to undergo a few regulatory checks.
