Starbreeze aims to build on its success with Roblox by launching a second game

The gaming company Starbreeze is preparing to launch another game on the Roblox platform. They have collaborated with Gamefam, a significant company in immersive gaming for the Gen Z and Alpha demographics, to develop this new game following their successful release of Notoriety: A Payday Experience. Moonstone Games, working under a licensing agreement, developed the first game.
According to Starbreeze, Notoriety: A Payday Experience has achieved over 400 million visits on Roblox, alongside receiving a 92% favorability rating from players. This success has solidified the Payday franchise as one of the leading cooperative series on Roblox.
The upcoming Gamefam partnership aims to offer a fresh way for fans to explore the Payday world on Roblox, positioning it as a strategic platform for Starbreeze to engage existing fans and attract new ones.
Matt Dixon, the chief growth officer at Starbreeze, emphasized the importance of the loyal viewer base on Roblox to the Payday series. He mentioned that Notoriety has formed a dedicated community, highlighting their aim to provide more opportunities for players to enjoy Payday's heisting adventures. Collaborating with Gamefam will bring added expertise to expand their content offerings while building upon the foundation laid by Moonstone with Notoriety.
Recently, Roblox launched new accounts tailored to different age groups: Roblox Kids for ages five to eight and Roblox Select for ages nine to 15. Enhanced parental controls are also set to be introduced.
