The company projects net sales to reach ¥195.3 billion, equivalent to $1.22 billion, an increase of 2.8%, while anticipating a net income of ¥54.5 billion ($342 million), reflecting a 6.9% rise compared to earlier predictions.

Capcom has observed higher sales in their marquee series owing to their sustained popularity. This trend is evident in the strong performance from Capcom’s Amusement, Arcade Operations, and Amusement Equipment sectors.

Originally, Capcom assumed that catalogue sales would comprise 85.2% of their revenue this year, significantly influenced by the success of Monster Hunter Wilds.

With Requiem released in February, the latest addition to the Resident Evil series is expected to make a considerable impact on sales of previous entries.

Data from analysts shown to GamesIndustry.biz indicates that sequels like Requiem stimulate sales of past games. For instance, promotions and price cuts for Resident Evil Village following Requiem’s announcement boosted its sales and engagement significantly.

Increased financial outcomes earlier in the year were attributed by Capcom to Requiem’s influence, with operating income soaring 75.1% and net income rising 68%.

The company stated that the announcement of Requiem "spurred sales growth in related series titles, notably Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village."

Within just five days, Requiem distributed over five million units and recently achieved sales of over seven million copies. The ninth installment in the series also led the US sales charts in February, with launch sales surpassing those of Village by 60%.
