Android bypassed the iPhone

According to the latest data, Android-based mobile devices are used more often to access Facebook than iOS-based devices. All thanks to the high sales of smartphones on Google’s OC.

On average, 58.3 million people visit their Facebook page from Android phones every day. As for iPhone owners, the number of average daily users, according to the App Data service, is almost a million less – 57.4 million.

However, Android is still lagging behind in terms of the average monthly number of visitors – the platform has 85.4 million of them. A similar indicator of the iPhone reaches a value of 99.1 million. But here it is necessary to take into account an important point: the data for the month does not reflect the number of users who visit the site daily. Their percentage is higher for Android: 68.2% versus 57.9% for iPhone.

Considering the fact that more than 550 thousand Android devices are activated every day in the world, there is nothing to be surprised about. By the way, back in June, the number of daily activations did not exceed 500 thousand, and in May 400 thousand devices. At the moment, there are more than 200 million Android-based devices in the world.
