The team at Neople, under Nexon's guidance, has experienced a reorganization as the project for The First Berserker: Khazan approaches its final phase. This change did not involve any layoffs.

A Nexon spokesperson explained to PC Gamer that the company is strategically reallocating resources to enhance efficiency in existing and upcoming projects, which includes global titles in the Dungeon & Fighter series.

The spokesperson emphasized that the reallocation of talent is designed to bolster live service operations and set the stage for future projects, with no intention to reduce the workforce or dissolve teams across Neople and Nexon units.

Reports have emerged from Yonhap News through GamesRadar, indicating that moderate sales of The First Berserker: Khazan could have been a factor in the restructuring.

During a recent capital markets briefing, Nexon CEO Junghun Lee highlighted the preparations for the game's market entry in China, aiming to confirm its potential longevity. According to Yonhap News, the delay in launch has affected sales figures.

In an earnings call last year, Nexon stated that although the first-quarter revenue didn't meet projections, the outcome fulfilled their strategic aim of initiating a multi-year endeavor to introduce the Dungeon & Fighter intellectual property globally.
