Mojang has teamed up with Merlin Entertainments to establish the first-ever Minecraft theme park, named Minecraft World

Mojang has teamed up with Merlin Entertainments to create a groundbreaking Minecraft theme park in the United Kingdom. Scheduled to debut at Chessington World of Adventures in London in 2027, Minecraft World will have a budget of approximately $67 million (£50 million). This park will boast the first Minecraft rollercoaster, the most extensive Minecraft retail outlet, themed cuisine, encounters with Minecraft creatures, and more.

Merlin Entertainments describes this endeavor as one of its most ambitious theme park projects in recent years. They are collaborating with Mojang to ensure that each ride and attraction conveys an authentic Minecraft atmosphere.

"Minecraft World marks a significant step in broadening the Minecraft universe," stated Torfi Frans Ólafsson, senior creative director at Minecraft, in a statement. "Partnering with Merlin Entertainments, we've envisioned a realm where fans can physically immerse themselves in the Minecraft Overworld, embarking on adventures with friends and family. The combined efforts of Merlin Entertainments and Mojang have been dedicated to crafting an experience that is both authentic and inviting. We are eager for our community to enjoy it."

Nintendo has also collaborated with Universal to launch Super Nintendo World theme parks across Universal's resorts in Japan, Florida, and California.
