A Saudi Arabian company purchased 5% of Capcom
The Electronic Gaming Development Company (EGDC) from Saudi Arabia has become one of the largest shareholders of Capcom.

Information about the purchase appeared in the financial management database of the Kanto region in Japan. The documents state that EGDC acquired a total of 26.78 million Capcom shares, equivalent to a 5.03% stake. According to EGDC, it made this investment solely for “investment purposes,” without detailing the reasons for the investment.
The amount EGDC paid for Capcom’s shares is not disclosed.
According to Google Finance, at the time of writing, Capcom shares are trading at 3,500 yen ($22.3) per share, and the company’s total market value exceeds 1.9 trillion yen ($11.9 billion).
It’s noteworthy that EGDC is not the first Saudi organization to invest in Capcom. Previously, the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Fund invested in the developers of Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. As of 2024, it is known to own 6% of the shares.
