The game studio Ballistic Moon, recognized for the upcoming remake of "Until Dawn" set for release in 2024, has officially been closed. An application was submitted in November 2025 to eliminate the developer from the Companies House register. The closure was confirmed with a final notice on February 3, 2026.

Speculation emerged in March 2025 regarding Ballistic Moon's operational status, hinting at its effective closure. This came after job reductions in September 2024, aimed at ensuring the company's sustainability.

During the redundancy phase, 40 employees were impacted. Additional reports indicated that by the previous year, 20 more team members were discreetly dismissed, leaving primarily the original founders and possibly a small group of staff members.

The company was established in 2020 by Duncan Kershaw, Neil McEwan, and Chris Lamb, who all previously contributed to Supermassive Games. Kershaw served as the production director, McEwan as the creative director, and Lamb held the role of technology director.
