NCsoft has purchased a 70% ownership interest in the mobile game development company JustPlay
NCsoft is poised to acquire a 70% ownership in the Berlin-based mobile gaming company JustPlay, committing $202 million to the deal.
Completion of this acquisition is slated for April 30, 2026, marking the South Korean company's strategic move into the casual mobile gaming sector.
Founded by former executives from AppLovin in 2020, JustPlay manages a portfolio of over 40 casual mobile games, with the majority of its revenue—70%—stemming from North America.
NCsoft co-CEO Byungmoo Park commented on JustPlay's promising growth trajectory, anticipating an 88% increase in revenue by 2026.
This acquisition is a significant step for NCsoft, as it aims to fortify its global mobile casual business by fostering synergy among its mobile casual game studios locally and abroad.
In another move to broaden its reach, NCsoft previously invested in Singapore's Indygo for $103.8 million. This investment was made public in December, as detailed here.
Additionally, NCsoft has expanded its portfolio by acquiring Vietnam's casual games developer Lihuhu and Seoul's Springcomes.
In August 2025, NCsoft initiated its casual games division, spearheaded by industry veteran Anel Ceman, formerly associated with Tripledot and Outfit7.
