Roblox has introduced two new initiatives, Incubator and Jumpstart, aimed at assisting "ambitious creators eager to build and scale" their projects.

Roblox recently introduced two initiatives, the Roblox Incubator and Roblox Jumpstart, designed to nurture and expand creators' projects. These programs aim to assist innovative creators in enhancing and growing their work.
The Roblox Incubator is a six-month initiative that offers guidance to experienced teams as they turn promising game concepts into fully developed and commercially viable games. Participants benefit from mentorship by Roblox experts, which also includes audience-building support.
Conversely, Roblox Jumpstart is an ongoing initiative targeted at newer users to help them navigate the platform. It also supports veterans in exploring innovative games, with experts available for assistance.
Currently, applications for both programs can be submitted via the official site, with Jumpstart accepting applications continuously.
Vlad Loktev, Roblox's Chief Creator Ecosystem Officer, commented on the creative prowess of Roblox developers, emphasizing the platform's goal to accommodate all age groups and stimulate bold new experiences. The initiatives are intended to supply mentorship and resources to help transform creative ideas into successful ventures.
Additionally, Roblox shared insights from its age-verified data, highlighting a significant uptick within the older user segment. As of January 31, nearly half of the daily users have confirmed their age, with 27% of these users being over 18. This age group is a key growth area, especially as the 18-34 demographic in the U.S. expands at more than double the rate of younger users, coupled with 40% higher monetization potential.
The programs target this rapidly expanding audience, leveraging the newly obtained age-verified insights to prioritize the creation of advanced games suited for a diverse, mature, and higher-value user base.
In related news, gamesindustry.biz previously reported that Roblox rejected allegations from Los Angeles authorities accusing the platform of not safeguarding children against predatory behavior. This litigation followed similar demands from the Australian government for Roblox to address child safety concerns on its platform.
