During the UKIE Game Awards 2026, Battlefield 6 was honored with both the UK Game of the Year and best PC game accolades.

The first-person shooter, crafted by Battlefield Studios and featuring contributions from Guildford's Criterion Games, achieved sales exceeding seven million copies within its first three days. This achievement set a new record for launches within the Battlefield series. Furthermore, it emerged as the premier selling game of 2025 in the American market.

In other categories, Rebellion's console game Atomfall took the top prize, while FuturLab's Powerwash Simulator was recognized as the best mobile game. The mixed reality award went to Train Sim World VR: New York by Just Add Water and Dovetail Games.

Glowmade's title, King of Meat, achieved distinction for best user-generated content. However, Amazon Game Studios disclosed last month that the game's online multiplayer servers would be shut down on April 9, 2026, due to lower than anticipated player engagement.

For the consecutive second year, Playstack secured the best publisher title, while nDreams was acknowledged as the leading developer. Notably, nDreams, the studio based in Farnborough, announced plans for restructuring, involving "significant" workforce adjustments and the closure of two studios.

Additionally, four significant figures within the industry were inducted into the UK Games Industry Hall of Fame: Debbie Bestwick, Richard Bartle, Jon Ingold, and Kristian Segerstrale.
