Fiona Cherback, previously a talent leader at PlayStation and Xbox, has introduced Rocket Game Talent, an agency delivering specialized recruitment services targeted at indie game development studios, as well as larger enterprises.

The agency is particularly dedicated to aiding smaller and emerging studios that might not have the brand recognition, seasoned recruiting processes, or the capability to offer competitive salaries.

Rocket Game Talent aims to build talent acquisition frameworks, manage the entire recruitment cycle, and enhance firms' employer branding. This includes collaborations with educational institutions, initiatives to boost diversity hiring, and participation in industry events.

"The majority of talent specialists in the gaming sector focus on either AAA titles or indie projects. I've made it my mission to excel in both areas," stated Cherbak.

She further explained, "While a 50-person studio can't compete with Xbox's hiring methods, I can position you to attract elite talent. My expertise spans from large-scale $200M projects to grassroots startups – and that's the edge you need."

Cherbak has a notable background in talent acquisition, having overseen over 250 developer hires at Sony PlayStation’s Santa Monica Studio for God of War and directed staffing efforts for Bioshock: Infinite at Irrational Games.

During her time at Xbox Game Studios, Cherbak managed talent programs for 14 first-party teams, working on popular franchises such as Gears of War, Halo, and Forza.

Furthermore, Cherback co-established Women in Games International and was the past chair of the IGDA Women in Games Special Interest Group.
