Nacon delays its gaming showcase following filing for insolvency

The French company Nacon, known for both publishing and developing video games, has rescheduled its game event to May 2026. This change comes in the wake of the company filing for insolvency.

The previously planned Nacon Connect showcase was set for March 4, but has been delayed to ensure that upcoming announcements have the desired significance.

Nacon stated that due to challenging economic conditions, it is prioritizing resources towards future game releases and ongoing projects. This additional time aims to refine these efforts ahead of a rescheduled Nacon Connect in May, highlighting the achievements of its development teams.

Recently, it was revealed that Bigben Interactive, Nacon's principal stakeholder, failed to meet a €43 million debt obligation after its banking partners unexpectedly denied a loan request.

To continue its operations, Nacon has entered an insolvency filing, exploring legal measures available through the court that could guide its restructuring process.

The company aims to explore all avenues to maintain its operations efficiently, safeguard its workforce, and retain jobs during negotiations with creditors. Nacon intends for this process to facilitate continued operations and provide a solid framework for debt renegotiation and sustainable long-term planning.
