Media: Tencent became the primary early-stage investor in Highguard

In his latest newsletter, journalist Stephen Totilo reported that TiMi Studio Group, Tencent's main gaming division, is the leading investor in Wildlight Entertainment. The company is responsible for hits like Honor of Kings, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Delta Force.
Tencent was likely a key investor in Wildlight, at least in the early stages. The developers themselves have previously publicly described themselves as a fully-funded studio. It is possible that there were other investors, but their names have not been disclosed.
