Ironwood Studios, the developer behind Pacific Drive, has successfully raised $4 million through a seed funding round

Ironwood Studios, the team behind the game Pacific Drive, has successfully raised $4 million in seed funding, with Lifelike Capital leading the investment round.

This capital is earmarked for the studio's next project development.

Inewood Studios CEO and creative director, Cassandra Dracott, expressed gratitude for the financial support, saying, "As a team we are very thankful for the opportunity to keep making games and at the same time so incredibly excited for what the future of Ironwood holds."

Dracott further remarked that the investment is a promising step towards realizing their future goals and expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Lifelike Capital.

Randy Lee, co-founder and general partner at Lifelike Capital, commented on the collaboration, noting, "The moment we experienced Pacific Drive, it was clear this team has exceptional talent."

He praised the team's skills in crafting a captivating environment and inventive gameplay, highlighting their proven ability to deliver a finished game, which made them an ideal match for Lifelike.

Established in 2019, the Seattle-based studio launched its debut game, Pacific Drive, in February 2024.

By July 18, the survival driving game had achieved sales of 600,000 copies globally and surpassed one million sales within its initial year.

In December 2024, it was revealed that horror filmmaker James Wan had acquired the rights to adapt Pacific Drive for television.
