The creators of the automotive survival game Pacific Drive have secured $4 million in investments

The funds will be used for the development of a new game.

Pacific Drive

The developers from Ironwood Studios have received investments as part of a seed funding round led by the venture firm Lifelike Capital. In an interview with GamesBeat, the studio's CEO, Cassandra Dracott, admitted that securing funding was not easy. Fortunately, it turned out that one of the founders of Lifelike Capital is a fan of Pacific Drive, so Ironwood Studios was ultimately able to secure the firm's support.

As for the next game, the studio is not yet ready to disclose its details. However, Dracott hinted that the title might be somehow related to Pacific Drive.

The developers did share updated statistics about Pacific Drive itself. They reported that to date, the automotive “survival” game has sold over 1.5 million copies, and its total audience has exceeded 3 million people, considering PlayStation Plus and Game Pass subscribers. As a reminder, Pacific Drive was released on February 22, 2024.
