According to reports, Sony has taken down numerous games from ThiGames on its PlayStation Store.

Insights from PushSquare highlight that access to games listed on the ThiGames website leads to non-functional links, indicating their potential removal from Sony's digital store.

The term "shovelware" describes these games, characterized by rapid production and simplistic design. Although often considered bothersome, some players use them to accumulate trophies. An example is highlighted by Eurogamer through the game, The Jumping Taco: Turbo, demonstrated in a video that showcases a spate of trophies after only 30 seconds of play.

Prior to Sony's action, ThiGames ranked among developers with the most listed games on PS4 and PS5, surpassed only by Eastasiasoft, Ratalaika Games, and Webnetic. Trophy expert Rob Thanatos provided this information, though Simon Carless of GameDiscoverCo advises caution. He notes some reports cite five regional versions for each title, suggesting an actual number closer to 150 games, with an estimated yearly revenue of nearly $10 million for ThiGames.

Carless expressed, "I won't speculate on Sony’s reasoning, but '[more than] 1000 games' is inaccurate for ThiGames, since multiple region versions are being counted. Our estimate places their releases at 153 games, nearly $10 million in earnings."

As of now, neither Sony nor ThiGames has publicly addressed these claims.
