According to analysts, "Arc Raiders" and "Detroit: Become Human" emerged as leading sellers during the holiday season

During the holiday season, Arc Raiders emerged as the top-selling game across various gaming systems.

Data from Video Game Insights shows that Embark Studios' shooter exceeded four million sales on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox in the past month.

Specifically on Steam, Alinea Analytics reports indicate sales of an additional 1.2 million copies between December 21, 2025, and January 5, 2026.

In total, since its debut on October 30, Arc Raiders has surpassed seven million Steam sales.

Embark's parent company, Nexon, verified the game reached over 12.4 million units sold, with 2.4 million shifted in 2026 to date.

Meanwhile, Detroit: Become Human was the runner-up on Steam, selling 993,000 units during this timeframe.

Released in 2018, the game saw its price significantly slashed from $40 to $4 during the Steam Winter Sale, resulting in $3.2 million in revenue, with overall Steam earnings exceeding $150 million as it moved past seven million sales during Christmas.

For December as a whole, VGI data reports that Battlefield 6 sold more than 3.5 million units across all platforms, while Alinea data notes 706,000 units sold from December 21 to January 5.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 experienced a boost with an extra one million units sold during Christmas after its success at The Game Awards.

This was Sandfall Interactive’s first title and marked Xbox Game Pass’s major third-party debut of the year, surpassing five million global sales by October 8.

Focusing on PlayStation and Xbox from December 21 to January 4, EA Sports FC 26 led in new players, reaching 1.7 million.

The PS5 was dominant, comprising 73% of these players, with Europe as the primary market with 37%.

Compared to EA Sports FC 25, player numbers for FC 26 were down 17%, with the new release attracting 13.8 million players in 110 days against the past title's 16.6 million in the same stretch.

On Xbox, Arc Raiders topped by new player counts with 564,000, whereas FC 26 was in fifth place with 286,000 new players.
