"We reached the milestone of 15,000 developer studios on the platform," said Cameron Khazouri from ByteBrew regarding the outcomes of 2025

Continuing with the 2025 year-end reviews of game teams (or those related to the gaming industry). Next up is an interview with Cameron Hozouri, the CEO and co-founder of the analytics service ByteBrew.

How was 2025 for your analytics service? What would you say were the main results or achievements?

In 2025, ByteBrew reached a milestone of 15,000 developer studios on the platform. We support a global network of creators in mobile games and applications, providing analytics tools for developers from over 50 countries.

We launched two new products on the platform — Revenue Reports and LTV Reports. This functionality allows studios to delve deeply into purchase data as well as ad monetization data, and also to analyze actual and projected user LTV.

Throughout the year, we continued to support our developer community by publishing new research materials and hosting a series of webinars in partnership with talented studios, where we discussed everything from working with LTV and acquisition strategies to the latest trends in the mobile and web game markets.

In 2026, we will release a new AI product that will provide studios with capabilities for traffic management and growth within their own portfolios.

How has the mobile games market changed over the year in terms of audience, monetization, genres, and user behavior?

A noticeable trend among developers has been working with hybrid monetization in games. The strategic combination of in-game purchases with ad monetization in mobile games has yielded positive results for publishers who previously built game economies relying only on one of these methods.

What insights from 2025 might be useful for studios planning to grow and scale in 2026?

Among the insights that have brought significant growth to one studio and could be useful to any other, I would highlight our recent case with the talented studio Gamincat. The Gamincat team has turned working with analytics into a meticulous daily ritual: they measured how gradual changes affected key metrics like Retention and Playtime. This focused, consistent approach to long-term user engagement helped their game Jigsolitaire reach the top of the most downloaded games chart.

In 2026, player retention will become the new frontier for acquisition. Our soon-to-be-released AI product will open a separate growth channel for studios, allowing them to scale within their own portfolios.

What new trends do you expect in game analytics, data, and tools in 2026?

Last year, game studios simultaneously regained control over IAP revenue through new DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) solutions and experienced a loss of control and transparency in the ad stack. In the new year, developers will strive to regain transparency and control in traffic acquisition and ad revenue, using technologies that provide new levers of control. This will become the foundation for studio growth in 2026.
