“We achieved over 15,000 developers on the platform”: ByteBrew's Cameron Hozouri on 2025 results

We continue our 2025 wrap-up together with top managers and experts from the games industry (and related fields). Up next is an interview withwith Cameron Hozouri, CEO and co-founder ByteBrew.

What was the year 2025 like for your analytics service? What results or achievements would you consider the most significant?

In 2025, ByteBrew achieved over 15,000 developers on the platform with our incredible team now supporting a global network of mobile game and app builders from more than 50 countries.

To continue providing our community with the tools needed to analyze, operate and grow, we launched two new products on the platform, Revenue Reports and LTV Reports; enabling studios to dive deep into their monetization data across their purchasing and ad monetizing players as well as analyze their user’s real life-time value.

To support our developer community throughout the year, we shared new insight studies, and expanded our live webinar series; hosting studio partners to dive into everything from LTV and UA strategies to the latest game industry trends.

In the new year, we’re gearing up to unveil a new AI technology designed to unlock new levers of control for studios within their own portfolio and introduce a new frontier of growth.

How has the mobile gaming market changed over the past year — in terms of audience, monetization, genres, and user behavior?

An apparent trend from developers was the continued adoption of hybrid monetization in games. Strategic layering of in-app purchases married with ad monetization in their mobile games yielded net positive results for publishers that previously built game economies solely operate on either independently.

Which insights from 2025 can be useful for studios planning to grow and scale in 2026?

One of the most valuable insights that rendered incredible results in 2025 came from one of our most recent case studies with an outstanding studio, Gamincat. The Gamincat team made analysis a meticulous daily ritual for their team; measuring how incremental changes affected their game’s core retention and playtime metrics. This focused approach to long term user engagement propelled their hit global Jigsolitaire to the #1 seat on the app stores.

In 2026, retention will be the next acquisition frontier. Emerging AI technology set to release will provide studios with a new growth channel enabling studios to tap into meaningful scale from within their own portfolio.

What new trends do you expect to emerge in game analytics, data, and tools next year?

Reflecting on the last year, the industry experienced both a wave of studios reclaiming ownership over their purchase revenues through new DTC storefronts, but also an erosion of publisher control and transparency in the ad stack. Looking forward to the new year, teams will look to reclaim transparency and control over ad revenue and user acquisition, making technology that provides new levers of control foundational for growth strategies in the new year.
