Holiday Greetings. The App2Top team wishes you a happy upcoming 2026!

The last publication in the retiring year of 2025.

Dear friends!

There was a temptation to write a serious column about how bad everything is. Overproduction crisis, elusive AI, layoffs, difficulties finding work and investment, decreasing margins, overall instability...

Whew, that's quite a lot. And I'm sure you could easily add a couple or even three more points to this list.

In general, it was decided to abandon this plan. Firstly, we don’t want to dwell on the negatives. Secondly, there will always be someone else who will tell this story (and if not, we’ll provide a link, feel free to reach out).

Instead, let's focus a bit on the positive, specifically:

▫️a) for most reading these lines, work tasks in task trackers have come to an end;

▫️b) a few days of rest are ahead (almost a week).

This means there will be time for yourself, for family, for favorite activities. It is assumed that in our industry, this involves spending free time playing games, but let's not judge those who may prefer something else, like fishing, skiing, or indulging in holiday salads, like Olivier or herring under a fur coat.

Time spent with close ones and friends, a change of activity, and engaging in beloved pastimes usually washes away all the bad, like a snowplow on the street of moods.

Along with the memories, anxieties should also fade, at least for a while.

In their absence, new strength, a sea of energy, and a very optimistic mood emerge. This bright and life-affirming cocktail should help—somewhere around January 10th—to meet the new year 2026 fully prepared, which might also be challenging, but, as a wonderful song goes, “But that's later.”

On behalf of the App2Top editorial team and the entire WN Media Group media department, I wish for things to unfold just like that: that you forget about difficulties for a while, thoroughly enjoy the upcoming weekend, and then approach the challenges of the coming year refreshed, energized, and ready.

We hope that 2026 not only gives us a breather at the start but also brings calm skies, certainty, and hope, allowing everyone to fulfill themselves, find win-win solutions in any communication, provide unexpected opportunities for some and interesting challenges for others, and of course, as many great games as possible.

Happy New Year to all!

P.S. Regarding the editorial office's holiday schedule:

  • There will be no news during the winter holidays; we will resume publication on January 12;
  • The next premium publication will be released on January 14: all materials planned for the holiday period will be delivered to subscribers by the end of the month — temporarily, instead of two publications per week, there will be three;
  • The year-end summaries will continue to be published from Monday to Friday starting January 1.
