MTS: In 2025, Russian gamers started spending more money on games
MTS arrived at this conclusion after analyzing the gaming payments of users on the "MTS Payment" service.

According to MTS's calculations, from January to November 2025, Russians spent 36% more on purchasing games and in-game currency through its service than they did over the same period the previous year. However, the company did not disclose the exact figures.
Nevertheless, MTS did reveal the average gaming check. Data shows that in the first 11 months of 2025, it reached 1,800 rubles, a 13% increase compared to 2024. Meanwhile, the average number of payments per person rose from 2.9 to 3.1.
Additionally, users of "MTS Payment" have become significantly more active in topping up their console account wallets. The company noted that over the year, the number of such transactions grew more than fivefold. Among console gamers, PlayStation owners were the most frequent users of the service.
It was also reported that in 2025, in-game currency for PUBG Mobile and Genshin Impact was in highest demand on "MTS Payment."
It's worth recalling that MTS has been paying considerable attention to games in recent years. In particular, this summer, it opened a division dedicated to developing games for Telegram, and prior to that, it launched the cloud gaming service Fog Play and introduced its own console.
