Johanna Faries, president of Blizzard, has expressed confidence in the company's ability to maintain a consistent schedule for game releases.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Faries mentioned that the community looks forward to major releases annually, and Blizzard is poised to meet these expectations.

"Our iconic intellectual properties still hold much potential for growth," Faries noted. "Our focus will remain on our strong existing brands, but not exclusively, as exploring new areas remains an option."

Faries emphasized her belief in Blizzard's promising future, stating that the company aims to provide reliable game releases. The gaming community wants predictability, and Faries indicates that Blizzard is structuring its plans to deliver significant releases every year, leveraging its multi-franchise assets.

On the challenge of balancing live services with new game developments, Faries acknowledges the complexity and logistical needs involved.

"Our approach centers around three key areas: the personnel, our products, and strategic planning," she remarked. "Effective planning allows for both immediate responses and future projections, like what we envision for Diablo in the coming years. Our teams are adept at following this strategy, ensuring headway is made in parallel with ongoing live services and future endeavors. It's essential to have the right discussions about handling these different operation models effectively."

Taking on the role of Blizzard's president in January 2024, Faries previously managed the Call of Duty series. Blizzard's recent outputs include expansions for World of Warcraft and the standalone game Diablo IV, released in 2023. Also in 2023, the company launched Warcraft Rumble, a free mobile game, which was later discontinued along with substantial staffing reductions.
