After nearly three decades, Brian Fleming, a co-founder of Sucker Punch, is stepping down from his role at the company.

He announced that Jason Connell and Adrian Bentley will assume the roles of co-heads of the studio starting January 1, 2026, as part of a leadership transition to younger talent.

Sucker Punch has been associated with PlayStation studios since 2000. Sony expressed in a statement that over the past 12 months, Brian has collaborated with PlayStation Studios to position Sucker Punch for ongoing success and a solid future.

According to Sony, "Brian's influence has fostered a culture of innovation and teamwork, creating a solid base that Jason, Adrian, and the team will continue to develop."

Fleming shared on LinkedIn that he is leaving the studio in a "capable" leadership team's hands, confident that Adrian and Jason will excel in their new positions.

He also praised the studio's directors—Nate, Joanna, Billy, Gail, Parker, Sonia, Rob, and others—as "capable" and "ready" for future challenges, leaving him assured of the studio's ongoing prosperity.

Fleming will remain at Sucker Punch until April to aid with the leadership transition. Post-transition, he intends to travel with his family and explore varied opportunities in industries such as tech, entertainment, advocacy, and politics.
