Updating tools for porting to Windows Phone 7

Yesterday, Microsoft introduced an update of tools and materials for porting applications from iOS, Android and Symbian to Windows Phone 7.

First of all, examples of the implementation of ad blocks, geolocation and group communication in WP7 applications for specialists in Apple and Google platforms have been added. For each of them there is code for all three platforms, as well as notes on porting.

In addition, materials on the implementation of notification services are available – documentation, code.

There is also a utility for porting code from SQLite to SQL Server Compact, which is used in Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango”.

The update also affected the Mapping tool API for finding a match between platforms.
