The creative director behind Sable has established a new studio named Eteo

Update: Gregorios Kythreotis has stated that both he and his Shedworks co-founder, Daniel Fineberg, have decided to pursue individual projects. "Daniel and I are both working on our own projects now," Kythreotis mentioned to GamesIndustry.biz. While Shedworks will still be associated with the game Sable, there won't be any new developments from this studio. Kythreotis will now advance his initiatives under his new studio, Eteo.
Original story: Gregorios Kythreotis, previously a co-founder at Shedworks, has established a new venture, Eteo, based in London. The studio is collaborating with international talent to create imaginative game environments, infusing them with a playful essence. Their inaugural game is slated for release in 2027 and receives backing from Outersloth, a funding entity initiated by Innersloth, the team known for Among Us, in June.
In January, Eteo plans to launch a project called Archetypes, a newsletter aimed at giving writers the opportunity to delve into video game design aspects. Each piece will explore themes that resonate with Eteo's design ethos.
Kythreotis remarked in an announcement video that Sable, Shedworks' acclaimed game, was a significant turning point in his life. "Eteo is sort of the next step with that," he stated, expressing how he intends to integrate insights from his architecture background, experiences at Shedworks, and the journey with Sable into Eteo's future endeavors. These efforts will focus on personal and innovative storytelling and world-building.
Founded in 2014 alongside Daniel Fineberg, Shedworks gained recognition for its game Sable, which received the Best Debut Indie Game award at The Game Awards in 2021.
