Gregorios Kythreotis, a co-founder of Shedworks, has launched a new venture named Eteo.

The London-based independent game studio collaborates with international partners to create lively game environments noted for their playful nature.

Their first game is currently under development with a planned release in 2027.

The project receives support from the Outersloth fund, an initiative by Among Us creator Innersloth started last June, which supports indie game development.

In January, Eteo will introduce Archetypes, a newsletter initiative designed to provide writers a platform to explore game design topics, aligning with Eteo's design principles.

In an announcement video, Kythreotis stated, "Sable was our first really big game, it changed my life completely. Eteo is sort of the next step with that."

He added that his experiences in architecture and with Shedworks and Sable are being channeled into new creative endeavors focusing on world-building and storytelling that resonate emotionally with players.

Kythreotis co-founded Shedworks with Daniel Fineberg in 2014, marking his role as the creative director for their debut game, Sable.

Sable, launched in 2021, earned the Best Debut Indie Game accolade at The Game Awards.
