The CEO of the development studio behind "Troubles" has resigned

There has been a reshuffle in the leadership of Cyberia Nova. Alexey Koptsev is no longer heading the studio: he has decided to focus on his own gaming projects and “enlightenment activities.”

Sergey Russkikh, a veteran of Cyberia Nova who has served as the creative director in recent years, has succeeded Koptsev. Before joining Cyberia Nova, he worked with Alawar, Game Insight, and ILVINGI.

The studio's press release states that Russkikh intends to revise the development strategy of Cyberia Nova, but no specific details have been disclosed.

It's worth recalling that Koptsev had been leading Cyberia Nova since its founding in 2015. Under his leadership, the Novosibirsk-based studio received several grants from the Internet Development Institute and released “Smuta” — an action-RPG that received mixed reviews from the audience. Just a few weeks ago, Cyberia Nova released a spin-off game titled “Zemsky Sobor.”
