Nintendo announced plans to acquire the Singapore-based studio Bandai Namco
It will be renamed Nintendo Studios Singapore.

As reported by Nintendo, the deal will take place in two phases. Initially, on April 1, 2026, it will purchase 80% of Bandai Namco Studios Singapore and only after some time will acquire the remaining 20%. According to the company, during this interval, its new subsidiary will need to stabilize its operations.
The cost of the acquisition is not disclosed. From Nintendo's documents, it is only known that the authorized capital of the studio is 1 million Singapore dollars or approximately 770.4 thousand US dollars.
It is worth noting that Bandai Namco Studios Singapore has already collaborated with Nintendo in the past. It participated in the development of Splatoon 3, creating a number of character and environment models. According to Nintendo, this experience of working together was one of the arguments in favor of the acquisition.
For Bandai Namco, the Singaporean studio also served as an auxiliary team—it assisted other internal divisions with their projects. For example, Bandai Namco Studios Singapore contributed to the latest parts of Tekken, as well as to games in the Ace Combat and SoulCalibur series. Most likely, as part of Nintendo, it will continue to perform the same functions.
