There are 940 million mobile phone users in China

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the number of mobile subscribers in China increased by 81 million users in the first 8 months of 2011. Now the total number of subscribers is a record 940 million.

More than half of the new subscribers are 3G users. At the moment, the total number of 3G users in China is 94.12 million people.

At the end of August this year, the number of users of all phones in China reached 1.23 billion. This is due to the steady growth in mobile phone sales.

In the first 8 months of 2011, the revenues of China’s telecommunications sector increased by more than 10% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 647.73 billion. yuan (101.21 billion dollars).

According to the study, 71.9% of revenues come from the mobile industry. Last year, this figure was only 69.4%.
