These figures were presented by the General Director of the "Agency of Creative Industries" (ACI) Gulnara Agamova during her speech at the "Creators" forum.

Recall that similar data had already been highlighted by ACI in a study published in July 2024. Based on a survey of 1,500 residents from Moscow, it was reported that Muscovites alone spend on buying games and in-game items an average of 323 billion rubles annually. The total gaming expenses of Russians for 2022 were marked by ACI at approximately 383 billion rubles.

Interestingly, much smaller amounts were mentioned in a recent joint report by ACI, Strategy Partners, and the RVA association, which provided a market forecast for the coming years. According to the report, in 2025, Russian spending on games is expected to reach 200 billion rubles for the first time, and only by 2030, in an optimistic scenario, might it reach 371 billion rubles. However, the authors of the forecast included an important disclaimer—only expenses through official channels were counted, meaning that purchases through "gray" services are not included. Therefore, it's possible that including these would bring the numbers closer to the initial figures presented by ACI.
