The video game Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has once again been postponed, with the new expected launch period extending past early 2026. Skydance Games recently shared through a social media announcement that adjusting the release timeframe was necessary to achieve their complete vision.

Skydance stressed that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a significant endeavor, and they are dedicated to reaching the high standards anticipated by their team, players, and fans. They expressed appreciation for the ongoing enthusiasm and backing from the global community and assured that they're striving to deliver an extraordinary experience, with more updates to follow as work advances.

Initially unveiled in 2021, the project saw Amy Hennig, known for her role as the creative director of Uncharted, collaborate with Skydance to develop an as-yet-untitled Marvel game. A teaser was released in 2022, with further details being disclosed at the Epic's State of Unreal event at GDC 2024.

Skydance also revealed a collaboration with Plaion for publishing duties, with the game previously aimed for a 2025 release. However, it was announced later that the launch would be deferred to early 2026, allowing time for refinement and ensuring the game aligns with their creative goals.
