About the Team
Blazing Planet Studio is a seasoned team of game developers. For instance, I've released six games on Steam, including all parts of the successful Choice of Life series. Our Technical Director has extensive experience developing games and prototypes in Unity (including for game jams). Our artist has over 10 years of experience.
About the Project
SWORDFORMER is a thrilling blend of a platformer and survival game developed on Unity.
References include Dead Cells and Comix Zone.
About Gameplay and Features
Core gameplay involves instinctive control mechanics limited to movement buttons and the selection of new perks. The fun lies in the entertaining hacking and slashing of crowds of diverse enemies while building an ultimate build.
Features:
- Enemies explode at the sight of the character's weapon;
- Inconceivable perks that allow building setups that break the game’s logic;
- Numerous weapons of destruction, each with unique properties (ranging from a laser-shooting sword to a meme disco-cat);
- Leaderboard for competition with friends and players worldwide;
- Combining 2D environments with 3D characters.
About the Target Audience
Fans of Vampire Survivors, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, and the recently popular Megabonk.
We also plan to appeal to platformer enthusiasts, showcasing that survival gameplay can be fun.
About the Business Model
With proper marketing and promotion, we expect virality on par with Vampire Survivors and Megabonk, with corresponding sales figures.
About the Metrics
Currently, the game demo has been featured in numerous showcases. The average demo playtime is 40-60 minutes. Player feedback has been extremely positive. We plan to announce the global launch soon.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for an investor or publisher willing to invest. The current readiness level is 30%. To complete the project, we need:
- $50,000 (excluding marketing costs);
- Expanding the team to five members;
- Seven to nine months of development.
