Supercell has revealed that it will cease active development of Squad Busters.

Launched in May 2024, Squad Busters is set to go offline sometime after mid-2026.

Transactions within the app have been halted, and users who completed purchases in 2025 can request to transfer the value to another Supercell title, such as Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Hay Day, or Boom Beach.

The company expressed in a statement that they value learning from their setbacks, and Squad Busters was a chance to implement lessons from past game developments. Supercell aimed for a rapid pace, daring decisions, and insights directly from a worldwide audience, bypassing extended beta phases.

Despite their efforts, they discovered the game did not meet their high standards. By early 2025, they faced a challenge—either acknowledge the game's limitations or undertake significant creative changes. They opted for innovation.

The introduction of Heroes marked a significant strategic shift, aiming to transform the game's potential. However, despite the team's dedication and player support, the game's fundamental issues remained unresolved.

A final update is planned for December, after which the focus will shift to new and existing projects.

As a gesture of appreciation, Supercell will offer complimentary bundles to players, acknowledging their enthusiasm and participation.
