The capitalized development costs of Project Baxter amounted to 255 million SEK (27.3 million USD). To put that in perspective, Starbreeze's revenue for the entire year 2024 was lower at 185.9 million SEK (19.9 million USD).

Regarding the layoffs, Starbreeze will part ways with a total of 44 full-time and freelance employees.

According to Starbreeze, this decision was difficult but necessary. The company now intends to focus on expanding the PAYDAY franchise and actively engage with its games. Specifically, by the end of the year, the PAYDAY 3 team will be increased to 50 members.
