Doug Bowser, the President of Nintendo of America, is resigning

December 31, 2025, will mark Doug Bowser’s final working day at Nintendo of America. The top executive announced his decision to leave the company.

After his departure, the position of president of Nintendo’s American division will be taken over by Devon Pritchard, a seasoned company employee who has been with Nintendo for nearly two decades. Currently, Pritchard holds the role of vice president of Nintendo of America for revenue, marketing, and consumer experience.

Bowser expressed that he greatly values his years at Nintendo but believes that “it’s time for a new generation of leaders.” What he will pursue next is unknown.

Bowser has worked at Nintendo of America since 2015. He originally joined the company as vice president of sales, and four years later, succeeded Reggie Fils-Aimé as president.
