The highly anticipated release of "Hades 2" has earned it the title of the highest-rated PC game of 2025 on Metacritic, outshining titles like "Blue Prince," "Hollow Knight: Silksong," and "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33."

Officially leaving early access on September 25, the game's reception has been overwhelmingly positive, gaining a Metascore of 95 out of 30 evaluations at present, as detailed on Metacritic.

In the broader context of the year's top games, "Hades 2" is positioned third with a score of 94, trailing behind the "Legend of Zelda" titles, "Tears of the Kingdom" and "Breath of the Wild," both available on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Analytics from Alinea Analytics reveal impressive sales figures, with "Hades 2" selling over two million copies via Steam during early access, generating over $50 million in revenue. Notably, 1.5 million of these sales happened within just the initial two months.

Set to launch as a limited-time console exclusive for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, "Hades 2" will also have a physical edition slated for release on November 20, 2025.
