Android owners use apps 2 times more often than the Internet
According to a Nielsen Smartphone Analytics study, the average Android smartphone owner spends an average of 56 minutes a day on apps and the Internet, and two-thirds of that time is spent on apps.
This trend can be traced among owners of other smartphones, according to Flurry:
Nielsen’s research also shows that Android owners regularly use only a small number of applications: they devote 43% of the time they spend in applications to the ten most popular ones, and 61% of the time to the fifty. Recall that there are about 250,000 Android apps on the market right now.
