Hades 2 is set to leave early access on September 25, 2025
Hades 2 from Supergiant Games will transition from early access to full release on September 25, 2025, as a timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch and its successor, Switch 2.
The announcement, made during last week's Nintendo Direct, included news of a physical version set for a November 20 release. This edition is compatible with both the original Switch and Switch 2 and is priced at $50.
The game’s digital edition, which will be accessible on Switch and PC, will be sold for $30 and includes a complimentary upgrade pack.
According to Supergiant Games, Hades 2 will support cross-save functionality for both Nintendo consoles and platforms like Steam and the Epic Game Store.
Players who have participated in early access can move their saved games from PC to Switch by utilizing an in-game menu.
"Hades 2 represents our first foray into sequel development, a project that has absorbed us for over four and a half years," the developer stated.
They further elaborated, "Since May 2024, early access has allowed us to incorporate community feedback, driving us to fulfill the game’s potential. The result, our most ambitious title to date, aspires to honor its predecessor."
Regarding the availability of Hades 2 on PlayStation and Xbox, the original game was introduced to these platforms about 11 months after its Switch debut.
Based on this pattern, an August 2026 release for these consoles seems probable.
