Planet Zoo earned $144 million — more than both parts of Planet Coaster combined

The British publisher Frontier Developments shared with investors in a presentation how much revenue some of its games have generated and their sales figures as of August 31, 2025.

Specifically, the company disclosed the performance of its latest release — the amusement park management simulator Planet Coaster 2. According to Frontier Developments, since its launch in November 2024, Planet Coaster 2 has generated $20 million in revenue with sales of 600,000 copies. Regarding the original Planet Coaster, it sold 7.2 million copies and earned $103 million over its nine-year lifespan.

The zoo management simulator Planet Zoo performed significantly better in terms of revenue. Although it was released three years after the launch of the first Planet Coaster, its revenue has already reached $144 million with sales of 5.4 million copies.

The space simulator Elite Dangerous brought in $138 million for the company, with sales totaling 5.6 million copies.

Additionally, Frontier Developments reported that the first Jurassic World Evolution earned $146 million with 6 million copies sold, while Jurassic World Evolution 2 earned $136 million with sales of 5.2 million copies. The company is currently preparing to release the third installment of the series, set to launch on October 21, 2025.
