BAFTA has introduced a new live event, named BAFTA Games in Concert, to honor 20 years of the music from BAFTA-nominated and winning games.

Announced through a press release on September 11, 2025, the concert's inaugural presentation is set for January 31, 2026, at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

The event is a collaboration between BAFTA, Nibbs Events, and Esk, featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra. Conductor Austin Wintory, known for his work on games such as Journey and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, will lead the performance, featuring music from notable BAFTA Game Awards Music category nominees and winners from the past two decades.

Attendees can expect to hear music from titles like Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Baldur’s Gate 3, Hitman: Contracts, Tomb Raider: Legend, Assassin’s Creed, Cuphead, and Journey, with more "special guests" and selections to be revealed as the event nears.

Described by BAFTA as a "musical journey," the concert promises to blend visuals and gameplay with live musical performances.

Austin Wintory shared his excitement, stating that the event offers a rare chance to unite an orchestra, noteworthy composers, and audiences in celebration of the diverse range of video game music recognized by BAFTA in recent decades.

The BAFTA Games in Concert is also slated for a UK and international tour in 2026, with further details to be announced on the official website shortly.

Tickets for the premier in London are currently available for purchase online, with prices starting at £28.

BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip highlighted the universal appeal of video game scores, acknowledging them as a source of inspiration worldwide. She emphasized that the concert and its global tour offer an exciting opportunity to extend the influence of the BAFTA Games Awards, bringing fans, artists, and industry professionals together for immersive evenings of game music starting this January.
